October hatch "Grow-a-long"🐥

Pics
Been awhile since I posted photos of the October hatch Silkie grow outs! Difficult to get individual photos, so I decided to do it today when they were getting weighed.
I had 22 chicks, down to 11. Sold most of the “Layla” hatch. 😊

So cute! I love Iris' and Marigold's colors! We have a California Gray named Iris. :)

May I ask what his parents were? :)
Mother was an easter egger, father another mutt😅father was from a sex-linked cross. Here’s a photo of the two, just going to clarify that father is heterozygous for extended black so he can have babies black and non-black. They’ve made some healthy chicks at least.

@LadiesAndJane they are all so beautiful!!! Man Wren is precious to he a cochin/silkie!!!
And the little Beatrix is a boy!?! Awe! Bellatrix! I LUV HIM!
Iris and Paloma...hum I think their parents had a side thang going on LOLOL. They sure are similar!!!
Wren is a female. Interestingly she didn’t get any red from her mama, Hanabi.

Pretty sure Bellatrix is female as well. Because she can’t see very well she’s not really scared of anything and is such a little sweetie. When we were trying to get individual photos of each chick most of them were trying to run back to the others and did not like being separated. Bellatrix just decided to stay exactly where she was placed and lay in the sun, it was hard to get a standing photo. She kept wanting to sun bathe!🤣

Agree Paloma and Iris look very similar in coloring, though while Paloma is lavender based, Iris appears to be blue based. Iris is also quite a bit bigger than Paloma and has a single comb. I have sent updated photos to the breeder, and she still is not sure where this chick came from!🤣
Hoping to sell Bellatrix and Iris together to a pet home where they’ll get lots of love and attention. Iris is also super friendly!🥰

Oh so just a slight name change...gotcha.

Ok...yall think it is safe to say just one boy in these 4 cochin babies!?
Any suggestions as to colors of em? The breeder hasn't been a lot of help I'm afraid.

Chicks are 5 weeks, time went so fast. I know I have 1 girl and 1 boy, the 3rd I am on the fence with the 3rd son just waiting another week or so.

So strange too mama hens hatch mate (they look exactly the same) has stepped in to help raise them. She calls them for food, they are both sleeping on the coop floor with babies, both go on alert, everything. The two mamas have been inseparable since day one. It is crazy, she didn't start until they were about 3 weeks old so babies didn't get super confused, it is like she knew when she could step in and help.
