So, today me and my boyfriend went to collect the eggs laid by our 3 hens. We hadn’t collected eggs since Monday, yet there were 11 eggs!! I don't think that's quite abnormal, but then we look at one of the eggs and it had really weird bumps on it that we had never seen before. If anyone knows what could be going on please let me know!!!!!!!

How many days had it been since you'd collected eggs? A hen only lays one egg a day, so for three hens, since Monday you should've gotten nine eggs at most, unless there were some from Sunday. The bumps are called calcium deposits, and are the result of a little glitch in egg production. They're harmless, and the hen who laid that egg is likely perfectly fine. I have a six year old hen who lays eggs with those deposits almost every time, and she's just fine.
