Odd looking addition to egg yolk?

My first odd egg had a pale yellow mass, next to but separate from a normal orange yolk. Second was pale blob only, no yolk. I scooped out the pale bit for comparison.

Did you happen to have a photo of the lump cut open?

To be safe I wouldn't eat eggs from this bird until we can figure out if it's salpingitis or not.
