Odd looking packing peanut

I put him in some semi-permanent lodging for now, by enclosing the bottom of my potting bench. He seems to like his condo with rooftop garden.

He's also starting to get some tiny feathers on his head. He's not growing much though.
 
He's feathering out very nicely now, although he is still about half the size of other chicks of the same age. My older half-growns still pick on him, so he's still living in the potting bench. He likes to sit with us, when a cat or dog makes him nervous he climbs up on to the top of my head.

He really likes playing in the dirt now. Wish my tomatilla luck.
