It utterly sucks i know (I was 22 weeks along when erik decided it was time). I litterly did it in 4 hour chunks, Decide at breakfast i could make it till lunch; at lunch, well dinner wasn't far off.... etc.

Rotten child, 22 weeks? Mine just are happy to stay put til 40 weeks or longer. This was a boring repeat until my oxygen sats tanked. Which are ok now, but dr refuses to think about me going home to repeat that.

The doc's right, which i know is little comfort. Yes my water broke at 22 weeks, and right into hard labor. We had to stop labor and sew the womb shut, then daily antibiotics and steriods till 36 weeks, at that point i'd gotten a fever and we had to deliver. In the middle of all that I needed a transfusion. I know the waiting is dull and mind numbing and there's nothing good on the TV, but hang on it will be over soon.

I know the dr is right. My oxygen sats were at 74 when this started. They weren't that low long, I got a coughing fit, had a hard time stopping and was losing color. Went to the near ER, they got me to 88, then here.

You hang in there!!!! It seems your due date is awfully close to my daughters, who is due 9/4. However, she has had complications from the get go, so Alex may come sooner than that. She conceived through IVF too and has nothing but trouble from the start. We keep the phone next to the bed now adays.

Now to complain about my day...... I woke up at 9 am (thank you God) to a voice mail from my mother stating that my son was on his way to the ER due to an allergic reaction. Via ambulance. Of course she ended her message with "I will call again but I know you won't answer"

The phone was in the living room!!!!

Apparently, he put on a wig, goofing off, and suddenly had a VERY bad reaction to something in the wig and 80% of his body was covered in hives and his hands and feet swelled up so bad he couldn't move his digits and his face swelled so bad he couldn't see. Ok, is there some reason no one came and knocked my door down???? Really, folks, I am his MOTHER!!!!

This all happened at 3:00 am. I am seriously ON THE WAY to the hospital.

It all turned out ok, however, it took 4 injections of benedryl before the swelling even started to go down. He is now supposed to carry an epi pen with him.

Talk about a rude awakening. I did talk to him and his arms and legs hurt really bad, but the swelling is gone and the hives are gone. Poor kid. Who doesn't come get a kids mother????

I should have been there. To at least take pics to compare to Martin Short later.... Geez.

ughdebi. The epi pen isn't so bad, but one useful tidbit, the darn thing is spring loaded, so do NOT use your thumb across the back when jabbing it in, people have been known to do it upside down, shooting the needle thru thier tumbnail, instead of into the patient. We have one in my bag for matt's bee/wasp allergy, not needed to use it since we got it, but his last sting did land him in the hospital. (sting was in his wrist, his forarm was larger than my thigh).

I just need to make sure the kid GETS the danged thing and keeps it with him. This was a major reaction to something unknown for now. But very scary!!!!! The poor kid was scared to death when the paramedics told him "Hold still, you are goin in and you are goin now!"

Jeeeze Louise that's scary. I would have called you.

Oh my mom called, but everyone knows we leave the phone in the living room. Not anymore we don't!!! Especially with my daughters problem pregnancy and being due any minute. We learned our lesson last night. Seriously, someone should have knocked our door down. We are literally two blocks off the path to the hospital.
