Good morning.

Oh maple, I hope your girls get better quick!!

My gds are sooooooooooooooooo cute. I played with and fed them yesterday.
Friday is the Fall Fest at the school so I am going to take GD. Not sure if I want to take baby GD though. Might be a bit much for her to be out at night, its foggy and damp and cold around here.
Poor pony, all I do lately is feed him and give him carrots and treats, have not ridden again for 6 months. Well, after he ran away from me that time. Oh, well, when I thought I wanted to sell him he got to go riding quite a bit for those 3 days. That was beginning Sept, so I guess its not all that bad. Gotta get my bridle fixed, he broke it that day he ran away from me. Well, I have another bridle, but I like my bitless bridle the best, and so does he. All I need is a short piece of leather sewed back onto it so I can hook the reins in the proper place. Now, help me find a place that will sew it on for me!!

Oh! I just thought of a friend who might be able to do it, she had one of those industrial machines, she used to make bags for baseball bats etc, maybe I should call her out of the blue after all these what 15 - 20 years ago! tee hee

Good morning Algae!!
Wow, is that like 100 toes for you to scrub?

So I can tell I'm gonna be irritated with this lady at my oldest child's school. The 3rd graders had to go to the next school because the preschool/kindergarden school closed down because of financing. So the kinders got pushed to the elementary school and the 3rd graders got pushed to what used to be the middle school back in my day but the highschool got added on to so now the highschool is the middle school and the add on is the highschool blah blah blah....

So I'm dealin with a new set of people from this school. I've called Zoe in sick mon and tues. I took her to the dr. yesterday at 2:40 and Ava at 2:50. The dr. calls in a prescrip. but I don't get the med till 6pm because the state doesn't pay for the one he presribed so they had to fax him a list of meds they do cover...so it took till then for the fax and the dr. and all to get it worked out. Come home...have her eat a mini muffin, yogurt, and her med. & fever reducer med, she throws it all up immediately after taking the dose, I can see it floating in the bucket. Later around 8:30 pm I finish making her favorite, cream of brocolli soup, she eats a bowl, and I give her another dose of antibiotic med. She wants to throw up but she manages to fall asleep and avoid it but I thought it was coming because she was coughing so bad in her sleep. She wakes up at 2:30 am asking me to help her take her potty and she's crying and saying she can't move. I take her temp. she's at 102.6...so I give her fever reducer meds.

I call in this morning and tell the office that my daughter went to the dr. yesterday afternoon and she's got pneumonia and won't be in again today. The lady says, hang on....then says, we need a dr.'s note. So your taking her to the dr. today? I said, No, I took her yesterday and I wasn't aware I'd need a note. She says, yeah, if its more than a couple of days we need a note.

I call back after I get my youngest on the bus. Talk to the same woman and tell her, is there a fax number I can get because the dr.'s office is a good 40 min. away? She says yes and gives it to me. Then she asks if I want the teacher to gather up her homework and I say, well, I've got parent teacher conferances so I planned on picking it up tomorrow. So she says in astonishment...so she's missing the WHOLE WEEK???? And I said, well, she has pneumonia and she saw the dr. close to 3pm yesterday and didn't get the antibiotics started until last night and he said she'd miss a couple of days and he wanted to either see her on friday or sometime next week to see if it was clearing up... Well, the tone of her voice and her astonishment is what irritated me...she says, well I'll let her teacher know so she can have it ready.... I mean, don't you think the teacher would be smart enough to have her homework in her mailbox and gathered up especially knowing she see's me tomorrow after school? I don't know...and yeah, my kid has pneumonia woman....this isn't your 24 hour bug strain. ...and yeah, I'm getting my dr. to fax you because I've got no money in my account, I already over drew it, I'm hurting majorly financially because the divorce is getting dragged on and on forever...over 2 years now and I don't have alimony at this point and no, I'm not going into town 40 min. one way and back to pick up a friggon note and I'm not coming 10 min. into town and packing up my sick kid to pick up homework she's too sick to do right now cuz she can't even sit up and stand to go to the bathroom on her own.... Tomorrow I will have grandma babysit my children so I can come in and have my already scheduled parent teacher conferances...so please have homework ready for me to pick up by then.

Do I want my child to miss a week of school? No way. I know she struggles especially with math and I don't want her falling behind but guess what? She's got pneumonia and so getting her back to healthy is the main concern right now...not having her hospitalized is on the forfront of my mind, Miss Genious. Besides, your school rules state...no vomitting, coughing, and fever kids come to school...guess I'll stick with that. You need a note cuz we're going on day 3? Fine...take a fax and eat it...use that tone with me.....

I did the netti pot thing this morning. I think that headache that was gonna start may be not starting now,
and DH just beat me to the shower, oops, I play here too much instead of getting ready for work.
Fan has not been acting up last couple days, maybe the dust got shifted around when I took computer to son's for its last update,

Yep, sometimes office people can be a bit 'toney'
And the rules say, 24 hours of no fever before returning.

As a lundy, I try to always have a very nice tone.

I took neighbor to bank yesterday, she can't drive yet, and I got them to reverse all the overdraft charges because she was in hosp.
She can't do these things herself, because she can't hear the tellers.
Its so hard for her.

Morning all,

Hope the girls get better soon.

Lauree, what is that?

Algae, why are you scrubbing toes?

Boo, sounds like you are having fun w/ gds

Business is SO slow I don't go back in till Tuesday, I'm trying hard to act disappointed

Good morning all.

I liked the other school better and all thier staff. They know me and my story with my health, my x and the whole divorce thing, and know Zoe's prone to gettin sick but she's the most sweetest kid one ever did know and she's smart but has some areas she struggles with and she's sensitive too...like really sensitive...in many ways, emotionally and that she tends to pick up what ever germ is goin around... So everyone better be nice to my baby or I'll kick some office butt.
