The smell is what has me puzzled, I change brooder paper twice a day, and i still can't wait for them to go poo outside by the time we have feathers.

My brooder stays in the detached garage, there is no freaking way I could have that smell in my house. But I have a very sensitive nose. So hoarding...yeah. Not for me. My kids were discussing what our names would be if we were Smurfs - they said I would be Clean Smurf.

Kick her butt! Ender starts kindergarden next Thursday, and I have him doing multiplication---without memorizing the tables.

Yep, it's not uncommon for younger siblings to grab the academics earlier, exp if they realize that they won't get older then thier brother, but they can get smarter than they are.

that explains a bit... i have two older sibs....

I would be your nemesis. its clean at our house but NOT tidy... and only as clean as I have time for.

Okay here goes:

Laree, I hope the processing goes swimmingly for everyone. Well, except the chickens, it's not too great for them.

Boo, I would say those folks were definitely trying to get a free pony. Ponies are smart and sneaky and I would guess that Little Big Man found out in a hurry that if he laid on the farrier, the farrier went away...

Saddina, my God, I wonder why people like that bother to go into teaching?! My mom taught special ed for close to 40 years and I swear she cared about the students as much the day she retired as the day she started - she just couldn't stand the administrators. Rip 'em a new one.

Algae, I want to see some pics of your new place! Plz? *bats eyes*

maple, again, so sorry about the crappy shady contractor. People like that give whole industries a bad name.

Deb, I am sorry about your work cutting back. Will you be okay on unemployment for a while?

Boyd, how is your mega huge garden?

dacs, glad you could stop in, at least briefly.

Bows, go stick someone with a needle and put some joy into your workday.

McFly, glad your hen is okay!

I threw my back out doing hay last night. Ouch. Chiro couldn't fit me in until tomorrow at nine a.m., drat his hide.

DS#2 passed his swimming lessons with flying colors! On to beginner 2 next year. Cute little fart thinks he's a fish, I swear.

All in all, I think I'd rather be Dirty Girl Smurf....

We can brood outside during fall, but the garage gets 120 during the day, good for soap gelling, bed for anything that breathes.

Oh, so sparkles, I guess you wouldn't have liked meeting the bear coming down your driveway as you were leaving, like I did?
