We spent over half the day at the office getting what we needed from the clients and taking a mandatory safety class. By the time we finished all that we decided we didn't have time to go to the field since we needed to go over the stuff we got and get our gear ready. And the winds picked up. Can't look for goshawks when the wind is 15mph or above.

Is that like "a man can't work in the rain"?

I texted DH 4 hours ago telling him that I really dont feel like going to the lake and that I dont mind if he goes but I'd like to stay home and get housework and canning done. He has not responded. I assume (haha, assume) that this is due to the stick lodged in a specific mood controlling region which apparently has not become dislodged thru the course of the day in spite of the hours he has spent on a forklift....

I wish. High winds mess up the sound. We use game callers to try to entice the birds. We can work in light rain but anything that inhibits us hearing a bird respond or the bird from hearing the call is reason to stop until conditions are better.
