I did that, and it TOTALLY did not work out for me. In retrospect, I should have just wrapped it in a towel and backed over it with the minivan. Instead, I wandered up and down the street trying to find a neighbor to help me. Of course I was sobbing unconrollably, was dirty from working in the coop, and looked scarily disheveled. The DH had taken ALL of the neighborhood men to a charity poker game, so there was no one to help...
I think backing over it would be creepy, and yet I pull, clamp and count to 100.
DH would do it for me, but he would expect some token of my gratitude.
They're my birds, so I do the deed.
We did the vinegar/baking soda thing for his chicken girlfriend when she became egg bound. Next time I do a larger bird I'll try the dry ice method, sans explosion.
