Hey Lori, congrats on the attention-getting birds! Yay. Worth the stress?

And my cat Buddy thinks post-exercise stretch time is Pet the Buddy time.

I enjoy the shows and don't find them too stressful. Especially since they didn't need to be tested a second time. Now they stay at the fair until Saturday, so I can clean the coops really well. Entry fees = a bag of feed, but I won 2 bags of feed plus not tending 12 birds for a week. Plus saying my birds are winners!

Calliope likes to walk across me repeatedly as I try to do leg lifts. And when not walking on me, she's flopped over where she can smack me in the face with her tail as I try to do crunches. And then afterwards must be a universal cat thing because it is Pet the Callie time.

Is this her idea of how to be a drill instructor? Crunch-SMACK-crunch-SMACK-crunch-SMACK? If so, perhaps you can hire her out to gyms as a motivational aid for slackers.

Too much pure joy at one time I guess. I had an over-nuked slice of foccacia pizza this morning, then rode my bike to work. Was mysteriously nauseated upon arrival.

You forgot to keep your mouth closed again. It's from the bugs you ingested.

I doubt it, since the fluffy part negates some of the smack effect. It's actually more of a muffled thud. Only irritating if she's too close to my eyes.
I can see this as being discouraging treatment to those who are allergic to the furry darlings...

I agree with Dac. If you can't keep your mouth closed, at least keep your teeth together for a bug grille.

Its yucky here today. Rainy, kinda soggy as we havent had enough sun or breeze in the last week to dry ANYTHING. DH got the pickup stuck int he hayfield last night with a full trailer of bales hooked up. Of course it was my fault that I didnt answer his calls, (I left my cell in the house while I did chicken chores) and I had to come slog thru the field to drive the truck while he pushed with the tractor. Too wet I tell ya.

My MFDU and Guineas have started laying this week. We have an overabundance of TINY eggs now, just in time for little boy school lunch season. They couldnt be more thrilled than to get a tiny boiled egg in their lunchbox a few times a week.

I guess if I had a box of hot cider mix the day would seem a lot less dismal. I might have to get some tea tho, avoid the sugar while I try losing some extra freight.

"losing some extra freight" - very cute!

By the way, it IS your fault that he got stuck in the field. So from now on, ignore the chicken chores and sit in the living room next to your cell phone eating bon bons.

Nice word choice, since Tim often does a "fat old lady" impersonation of my future self "sitting on the couch in my robe and curlers eating bon-bons." lol

I should lose some extra freight...
Today isn't the day, though. Now I know why my belly objected to the coca cola; it knew there was a leftover Arby's cherry turnover waiting in my bag. The brain had forgotten it. Silly brain!

Sparkle, I can throw you a teabag if you want one. I have an extra chai spice (unsweetened0 black tea bag. It's like having cider tea without the apple flavor....

Thanks WeGo, I'm more of a un-chai girl. I like Yogi Detox, and Celestial Seasonings Apple Cinnamon or whatever the stupid poetic name is.
