Office Work.......

Anybody ever here any more?

I am going to have to practice patience today. My birds are being judged but I won't get to see the results until late. DD has jazz band try-outs, after percussion practice, and I can't go to the fair until she's done.

You have your pages numbered differently than mine. I'm only on 267. Makes me feel that we are so much less wordy LOL.

And yet this post is 6660

Hi Dacs, Nella, Batz, Laree, Lori, Sparks!

Seems like Dacs gets sent home only when he is too beaten up to work. He goes home for two weeks of traction, then wham, off to Weedwhack, Oklahoma for more torture.

I'm workin' at the law office this afternoon because my co-worker is doing kid-related things (tomorrow too). I'll be on all day tomorrow (Tuesday).

LOL, how fun that thread has become. I'm afraid to even chime in.

My big fantastic way of dealing with my roosters is to mostly ignore them. They ignore me, I ignore them. They act snotty to me, I drop kick them into next week. I don't antagonize them, or force them to be touchy feely. I can't think of the last time I picked up one of my "flock roosters". If one of the young boys is being a jackarse, I will drop kick him into next week....but thats only because I find it annoying.

Yesterday one of the younger boys was having a grand ol time breeding the girls.....he was taking way too long with one girl...seriously, 5 seconds and you should be done. I gave him about 10 seconds and then walked over and knocked him off. It was mean to the girl to ignore him. A little while later he is hanging off another girls neck while she squawks and fights him. Knocked his butt off her too. Little while later he grabbed another girl, did his business and hopped off in about 5 seconds.

I ignored him.

Its not rocket science, right? They behave, I ignore them. They don't behave, I drop kick them into next week. I treat the hens the same way, LOL.

I'll make sure I stay away.

It's Tuesday morning. Day 2 of a 4-hour night of sleep. I drank 1/2 a can of coke on my way to work. I'd have emptied it but my stomach made me aware that an entire can would not be accepted. It liked the homemade beef jerky, and the Santitas corn chips, but was only willing to accept a certain amount of corn syrup. My stomach is smarter than my taste buds.

Too much pure joy at one time I guess. I had an over-nuked slice of foccacia pizza this morning, then rode my bike to work. Was mysteriously nauseated upon arrival.

Hi Sparky!

I like raisin bran but can't eat cereal in the morning. The milk attacks me exactly 24 hours later, so I usually eat cereal in the afternoon/ evening. I use lactaid milk, so doesn't attack me too terribly badly, but it's not a fun work event. I rarely eat cereal, though.

I have peanut butter & jelly sandwich for lunch, along with tater chips, a nutella sandwich for afternoon snack, and some cheese & crackers for a morning snack. I'm going to try and behave the rest of the day. We'll see how that goes.
I did exercise this morning, in spite of the cat and her tactics of distraction, so the day hasn't been a total waste of good behavior.

My d'Uccles did well at the fair. My goldnecks were the favorite of the judge, and got BB & BV for the cockeral and RB & BV for the pullet.

Bran will definitely help the intestines, however "fortitude" is not what I would have chosen. Hope your day is good guys.
