Me neither. I got the previews of a nice cold on Sunday and now I'm in the midst of the full feature film. Want to lie down but am waiting for a call from a company who want to employ me as an independent contractor doing residential insurance inspections (in addition to my three jobs and housecleaning jobs).

I'm so glad Batty is okay after that horrible experience. I'm sure the massive scarring with only serve to enhance her youthful charm and sweetness.

And Dacs, I can sign you up for www.stalkme.com if you want... If it makes you feel any better, I do look at tons of your photographs on Facebook. Does that count as stalking?

Afraid to click on what looks like a link.

I'm being stalked by BYC babes.

Well, before Batty left us for her life on the road, she did a good job of providing us with ample kuku, if you ask me. I might make them thar Pepperkuku-wannabes this afternoon.

Lori, was that the last of the Christmas performances for you?

For 2010, yes. We are off until the 2nd Monday in January, when we start up for a March performance.

DH skipped the concert. I'd be growlier, except that now my coop is hardwired to the box rather than run from an extension cord. I find the timing of the connection suspicious but can't complain about the results. I can now run 2 heat lights for the chicks, a small neon, a small ceramic heater and a large neon light all at the same time (if I want).

I have 16 chicks that aren't entirely happy about being winter chicks at the moment. They eat and drink, and are surviving, but I don't think they're having a good time. On a happy note; there's a good chance that the silkie girls did NOT get knocked up by the d'Uccle roo. I swear they are fluffing out like pure silkies! That would be lovely.
If they were mutts, and I couldn't find someone to come get them, then they were going to be turned into raptor recovery food....
I am not a mutt-tolerant person these days. I need to sell of a few birds, and maybe I'd feel more welcoming to the 'surprises'.

I'm very happy, because the bachelor pen is outside and those boys seem pretty perky and healthy. I only close everyone else up for the chicks to stay warm. The boys make it clear that special measures are not needed for the adults!

Nothin'.

Sup?

Contemplating ways to make chicks seem like the lesser of two evils.

I may be going to AZ with my daughter in April. We'd definitely be in Phoenix, Casa Grande and Florence. Maybethe mountain-y ski area (can't remember the name) if Charlotte & David haven't left for Montana.

Duh. You gonna be around after Easter Sunday?

I've been called worse, usually a brat.

That too.

I already ate my chocolate, my little 2-pack of Tennessee T-cakes, and am trying NOT to eat the Milk Duds. It's 65 degrees in my office, which means that I can't actually eat the Milk Duds without a lot of jaw pain. Unless I carry the box of them in my pocket for an hour to warm them up....

Ok, they're in my pocket.....

It calms me just knowing where my next sugar fix is coming from.
