Entry #3 Tomato sauce. I cut up and put everything in the crock pot to cook for about 10 hours, on high, then use an immersion blender to sauce it. Then it cooks for a few more hours with the lid off, until it's thick enough. I start it at night that way I can can it the next day. Yes, it's a process but very hands off, unlike the stovetop method. I don't like having to keep an eye on sauce on the stove. It's very good!
