Does anyone know if the contest is almost over?

Theyve said theyll announce the end giving a few weeks notice. I wouldnt worry. Our mod governing this is ill and they have yet to delegate this task to someone else.

I know such an article probably wouldn't fit the requirements of the contest but I thought I'd ask you guys here!

What would you all think of an article that shows photos of birds which have been placed at shows?

Pretty much one big collection of poultry which have won in shows.

There will be basic information on the birds in the photos with things such as which class they were in, country, age of the bird, breed etc. I won't be writing about any of the standards though.

This is just so people can have a quick glance over the breeds and get an 'idea' of what good specimens of the breeds are.

I will only be using photos of birds owned by people here on BYC or as long as they have the owners permission to post the birds/photos.

I would note that when showing, you're only paying for one person's opinion on that given day.

Yes that's true, there will be a mixture of qualities as each judge likes different things. It will also vary depending on the country which they were shown in as there is different standards.

I actually did a lab researching the difference in protein concentrations of "free range" vs "caged" chicken eggs from the store.
