Quick question about genetics if anyone knows.

I have Olive Egger hens who have laid beautiful olive eggs. But lately they’ve been more blueish but not the good kind of blue.

Even though they’ve laid olive in the past the ones I had when I chose to incubate are light in color. Will the pullets hatched out of those eggs lay that dull color or will they lay olive like the original color the hens used to lay? (I mean besides the whole it depends on the rooster too)

Olive eggs are a combination of the blue egg gene and the brown egg gene. There is no fool proof way to predict the future color of eggs from chicks that were hatched from olive egger parents. There are many threads discussing this that are available to you via the search feature.
