My girls can't compete but I thought I'd post a couple of the worst of them.

The notorious Yeta (at least on the Okie thread) who is not amussed at being grounded. She is my escape artist but she can't fly right now.

with all these chickens molting, there is a black Orp chicken molting but, the new feather coming in are white.

has any one experienced this before?

I actually put a pic of your chicken on my phone and I have showed it to many people. Poor chicken, it look pitiful. It needs a jacket! Good thing you live in Florida... Oh no, you need sun screen on that bird.. She is going to get a sunburn, or maybe a tan..

So far, mine don't look as bad. This is my worst one - I was waiting until she got worse before taking a pic, but now I see new feathers coming in so I am hoping this is as bad as it gets. She looks pretty pitiful but nothing like these really bad ones!

She was gorgeous before..

I hear ya, when one of my hens was molting it was like the worst PMS imaginable...she was SO cranky.....but never looked anything like these guys do. I guess I have breeds that do mini-molts??? [tail and neck]
