She is actually broody right now. She is sitting on 2 eggs (I don't think they are hers) in my spare bedroom. She never does fully grow feathers back because she is a frazzle so she lives inside in the winter anyway.

I'd have an attitude too if I looked like that! It doesn't help that she is a tiny little thing and weighs about 1 1/2 pounds soaking wet.

I don't want to be entered in the contest, but I had to show a before and after picture of my rooster. My Buckeye rooster got a bad molt last year...it was funny because he didn't know how awful he looked he just kept on doing his thing! The only part that didn't molt was his tail.

Huh?! (Tilting his head like my dogs do when I talk to them...hehe)

This is Tutu and she needs to be entered into the Frizzle catagory. (she is actually a frazzle) I have more pictures of her sadness if you need them. This is her recovery from molting, you can see her new feathers on her chest. lol

Here is my "beautiful" black jersey giant hen in molt. I have 2 more just like her in full molt in all their glory But the new feathers are showing so she should be pretty again soon!

OMG, guys... this thead is an eye-opener! I don't remember our hens looking quite that bad when I was a kid... might be repressing that memory!
