I don't want to enter mine, because part of the damage was from an over-affectionate rooster a little while ago, but here's Serah, one of my EE's. She dropped a bunch of feathers like a tree dropping it's leaves, haha.

Ive had chickens for almost 4 years now and I have never really noticed any of my girls molting. Until now. Good greif, this is Tilda and pretty pathetic.

REALLY? You have to take my picture when I look like this?


This is the "HOW DARE YOU TAKE MY PICTURE WHEN I LOOK LIKE THIS! STOP FOLLOWING ME AROUND WITH THAT STUPID CAMERA OR YOU'LL NEVER SEE ANOTHER EGG AGAIN! look......

Needless to say we are BOTH anxioulsy awaiting the return of Tilda's feathers......Poor thing.

I had just been lurking in this thread thinking no way would one of my ladies have a bad enough molt to be considered - but Sofa, our GLW and matriarch is in such bad shape I had to share.

She is normally gorgeous and slightly haughty, but not right now! She actually has been sulky and will sit away from the group, with her head in the corner of the coop or run

Poor girl!

Here she is earlier this week...







Here she is probably thinking terrible thoughts of me for taking these photos...

Hang in there Sofa! You'll be beautiful again soon (I hope!)
