Entry # 2:knitting and sewing
I know this probly sounds weird coming from a teenager ,but I love to knit, and sew. I have my own little sewing machine, about 40 sewing needles, about 20 pounds of fabric,4 pairs of knitting needles , about ten skeins of almond extract scented yarn, more spools of thread than I can bother to count, fabric markers, patterns, and so much more.my older sister Hannah taught me how to knit after I found my mothers' knitting needles and started messing around with them and the moment she showed me how to do it properly, I was hooked.and I taught my self to sew because my mom has pain issues that make her feel terrible due to a disease that I cannot say or write the name of because it gets me tongue-tied. and so I enjoy making her stuff to brighten her day when ever she is feeling really bad.if I can, I will try to find some pictures of my creations.

I'd love to see some pictures of your sewing & knitting projects!

This was supposed to be a self-portait that could NOT include people, only representational objects. So objects representing my life at the time... my riding boots, my husband's army boots and some little booties for our future baby. I had just found out I was pregnant after 3 years of trying.
I love that even more now! It reminds me of the pregnancy annoucement I did for our little surprise 3rd baby - I put all (our boys were 13 and 8 at the time) our empty shoes in a semi circle with a little pair of crocheted booties I made in the middle. Just found the pic (not with the words - i wrote something along the lines of 'new baby on his way - due in December' type thing.

as soon as I get home I will take some pictures of my current projects
Look forward to seeing them, must be lovely to be able to do something to brighten your mums day - sorry to hear she is unwell :hugs:hugs
