Entry #3 - Baking

I love to cook and bake but I started out with a passion for baking cakes (mostly because I like eating cakes, haha). I am no expert, just a home-baker, and I don’t bring too much finesse to the decoration... I like to make things that look tasty and are great to eat. Mostly I love to make cakes for others or share with people. It’s especially satisfying when you have access to beautiful free-range eggs from your own chickens as I’m sure many of you feel.

I have often spent many hours in a panic late at night trying to bake birthday cakes for family members but they do always appreciate them. I find baking to be very therapeutic and of course you get a great reward when it’s all finished!

I'm pleased they have the right effect! I'm on my yearly diet and would love a piece of cake right now.

So many cool hobbies on here, love the crafts especially!

Entry 2# Fish breeding

• I love to grow and nuture things, I originally wanted to breed chooks, but as parents won't let me, fish will have to do.

• I just do it randomly, I only have nine goldfish so far, none of which have spawned, but I plan to get some guppies, platys, red cherry shrimp and 2 more goldfish, I guess this hobby has not relly started up properely yet, but it's getting there!

• looking after the fish does take a lot of time, but I am not making any real sacrafices, I guess pocket money, and time I would normally spend worrying, pacing or reading lol!

• As I have not really started up yet, and only have 9 goldfish, I am not even really an ametur yet.

• I plan to sell most of the offspring, hoping to get some money back from this hobby!

Entry 3# Photography

• I just love capturing a moment, and being able to look back at it in high definition!

• I practice photography when I can be bothered.

• None, if anything, it has brought the opposite of sacrafices!

• I am an ameautr.

• I do not get an income, but I entered a few pics in an ameturephtography comp at the local showground and proceeded to win;
• 1 first prize
• 1 second prize
• 3 third prizes.

@HollyWoozle - I love the photos of your cakes, especially the middle photo in the top row of the checkered cake. I've wanted to try the "lumberjack cake" for my husband but not brave enough yet! It has the multi-shades or red in the middle and I've seen info on how to cut out for that pattern but I would mess the cake up in a heartbeat. THUMBS UP to you!

Entry #1 - Horse Riding!

I have been riding on and off since a young age and my family have always owned horses and ponies. In 2005 my mother started a business selling horse riding holidays around the world and I have been lucky enough to join the business. I get to ride horses in different countries, either testing trips or escorting customers, when I am not in the office. I don’t ride at home these days but we do still keep a family herd of four. I have ridden in 32 countries so far.

I love riding because I love to be with horses and to spend time in nature. I want to be you! Seriously, I want to be 30 years younger and know there is a job like this and decide this is what I want to do with my life! Oh, and be a photojournalist on the side....i like this 100x100 or more. Love your pics! More pics, more pics!

One of my favorite things to do is bake/make things. I don't do it as often as I'd like, as other things come first. Chickens, for one I do it in my spare time, usually on the weekends and my husband is a big promoter. He does love his sweets!
