First rooster in a while, actually.
Bruce is non aggresive, pretty quiet, he usually only crows about 5:45 am and once again in the afternoon. He's very good to his gals, though his mating dance has all the elegance of a Clydesdale having a stroke. I have one accidental Roo. 16 weeks old. Very noisy. Loves the sound of his own voice. He has pecked one hand when putting the feeder in. He was reprimanded and now gives us plenty of space when we enter the barn. . He is very handsome and his ladies seem to love him.

I would love to see a pic of your British Tailed Araucanas.

This is our Lavender Tailed Araucana hen. Lavender is the original colour. She's 6 years old now and no longer lays. I can't wait for our littlies to grow up so I can see how they turn out. The Tailed Araucana have a crest, beard and muff, plus a tail of course.

Our older chicks are just over a month old now. We have Partridge, I think a few Blue Wheatens (one with a straight comb - a throwback to whatever was crossed in to give the colour I assume), and someone's project Birchens (and a Splash from the Birchen eggs). The 2 older Birchens both have lots of white on them, so hopefully there are some nice ones in the 6 younger ones I hatched.






This Birchen is taking forever to feather in!



We have some more Birchen chicks who are younger, 1 Lavender and 2 I think will turn out to be Golden Duckwings.

I have 3 grown roos, a Swedish Flower father and son, and a Barbezieux who's just turned a year. At least one of this year's clutches is a boy, an 18-wk old EE who is quite pretty but destined for the pot in all likelihood, and the jury's still out on the 10- and the 3-week olds. This is the old roo standing lookout while a broody and her own chicks, plus an older and a younger set, all dust bathe together.

Since he lost his tail to a fox in May he has been confined to this sort of role by his son. Now, however, his tail is regrowing...I hope it does not lead to fireworks!

I have 2 roosters they grew up together the first picture is nugget and the second picture is omelette

I have too many roosters. Some my favorites are Nugget the bantam cochin, his son Biscuit the bantam cochin, Boo Boo the baby rooster he's also a bantam cochin, and a lovely turken rooster. Oh I forgot to add Copper the mixed breed and Follower the salmon faverolle.

Had 4 but one passed away recently. Plan to introduce a couple more soon along with lots of extra hens! They're wonderful to have. They do so well watching the skies, and taking care of their ladies. Maybe I lucked out with the ones I have.
