Those chickens are so beautiful! It's a shame it's hard to be angry at a silkie! What colours are they classed as?I fence off garden beds I planted seeds but somehow my Silkies seemed to be able to fly over and destroy my hard workSo I have a little raised garden on stilts now and that one is surviving so my plan is to get more of those, although it's better if it's lower so the chickens can help me turn it over
.. They can at least get to work on my old crops for now while I work out a plan..

Ivy is a poisonous plant. If the chickens eat that they might not have enough food. Please give the chickens more feed/grasses/veggies to avoid that they eat really everything that grows.View attachment 2637263
We have a “garden jail”made of chicken wire, and bird net on top. Whatever it’s not protected they will destroy. We even have one side of the fence covered in English ivy, and they managed to eat it from the middle down and make the fence naked. We also added wire and is recovering.
English Ivy isn’t as poisonous as other ivy plants though. But I agree.Ivy is a poisonous plant. If the chickens eat that they might not have enough food. Please give the chickens more feed/grasses/veggies to avoid that they eat really everything that grows.
