Hi,
We have a multi colour flock of four and one of those was sold to us as a Daisy Bell. Here is a picture of her (Roisin) with Ruby. I'm afraid to say that she has turned out to be the worst bully when it comes to treats and food. She is the biggest hen I have ever seen (granted I've led a sheltered townie life) and dwarfs our Bluebelle and what was sold to us as a Marrin but I suspect is a Barred Rock

Do you have a picture of the Maran? Has it layed eggs yet? There is a variety called a Cuckoo Maran that looks similar to a barred Rock but the black/white are not as clearly defined. They look more black/gray, but will still lay the chocolate eggs.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Here is a pic of Pebbles. She's laying fine, light brown eggs rather than anything resembling chocolate The other picture I have of her is not flattering. She was only having a stretch but looked really fierce, which she isn't!
