Between the layer flock, the new RIR chicks, and the meaties set to arrive tomorrow, we're at 69! Funny, though- it sure sounds like a lot more than it seems in person...

1- White crested black polish roo
1- Hatched out WCBP/Black Star chick
12- RIR chicks
6- Black Star
13- Red Star
11- EE (and the likes)
25- CX (tomorrow!!!!)

I love them all

It seems like every time I sell a bird, I buy 10. I'm at around 150+ not counting ducks & geese. I'm gonna thin out before winter tho. If my math is correct, I'll sell 10 & end up feeding 250 this winter

I'm still just terribly impressed with the almost perfect bell curve distribution in the votes! I just threw the number ranges together in a couple minutes using my best guess and it is turning out to be pretty perfect!

Somewhere over 200 counting hens and rooters, ( haven't counted them in a couple of months) plus 17 eggs in the incubator, plus 2 ducks and the baby duck that hatched yesterday.

I have 13 chickens right now.
The most I've ever had was 26, and I am allowed a maximum of 30, including meat chickens.

Right now 6 of them are laying; hopefully, the other 7 will start soon!

I have 26 laying hens, 2 mating roo's, 5 freedom ranger hens, 2 freedom ranger roo's, 15 turkeys, and 4 new chick surprises, along with 9 spring chix..............................
enough yet???????????????????????????????????????

I say I have 9, but I actually have 8. Just don't tell Pickles, my Pekin duck. She was raised with chickens, and aside from swimming in her little pool, she does everything the chickens do.
This is my group:
1 RIR hen 2 yrs old
1 Black Sexling bantam hen 2 yrs old
1 RIR bantam hen 2 yrs old
2 EE hens 6 mo old
1 Blue Andalusian hen 6mo old
1 White Plymouth Rock hen 6mo old
1 Silkie mix rooster 1 1/2 yrs old

and of course Pickles 6mo old

I've got the bug though, planning on getting some Silkies, as well as some other breeds, come next year.
