While they may be cool, the absolute stupidest chicken I ever owned was a Silkie Rooster.

He hated me, I hated him. I kept telling him attacking me was stupid, he never listened.

He did not make a year here, before he moved on.

I read they were docile, but the more I read silkie rooster stories, the more I realize that may not be the case

I just want some chicks, but if they turn out to be mean, I hear Silkie meat is pretty nutritious

Mine could have been too inbred. He would jump at the cage wire when I walked by it. He would hit it as hard as he could. Fall down, shake it off and hit it again.

I got him from a show person, I was going to show them if I got decent ones.,, but I have no time for dumb or mean birds and he was both.

I am trying to get out of birds.

I had Speckked Sussex, Partridge Chanticlers, Legbars and Dominques that I showed.

I still have a few nice Dominques left. I showed one Blue slate Tom once.. but I got picked apart pretty badly on him.

Nice!! I have a Speckled Sussex and love her! Of course she’s just hatchery quality and I’m sure nowhere near as nice as yours were but she’s got so much personality!! Always wanted to try Dominiques!! I had a Barred Rock, which I know is not the same breed at all, but ever since her, I’ve wanted to try the “original” one so to speak.

Sorry your Tom got picked apart! I’m sure he was nice!

How do you lose a charger?
My charger doesn't move. IT stays in the same plug always.
