How likely is a domestic/possible feral cat to kill chickens? I know cats are common on farms and get along with the chickens there, but I'm wondering about a city cat. Not sure if it has an owner or is just a stray, but he is showing increasing interest my hens. Have caught him in their yard and in my yard. The hens were not alarmed by his presence, but I was! He was laying around intently watching the girls from my side of the yard this afternoon. Now I'm paranoid about leaving the house and not being able to chase the cat away!

I lost my backyard flock to a mink two weeks ago I think they are the worst because they killed every bird and didnt even eat them. Senseless killing.

'coons are definetly the worst for me. They kill and just eat the head, which is quit disturbing.

Ich. Luckily I keep my quail inside, so they are usually safe, until SOMEONE leaves a window open.

We have raccoons around our place too. I just got 6 new chickens and I am being very vigilant.

I fear the mink also, leave your chickens deflated and absolutely won't stop til they all dead

Hey PETA, they deserve to be made into fur.
I saw one trying to pick the lock on my quail house outside, luckily i chased it away with a can of bug spray, very useful for detterring many things bug spray.

I got 6 new birds and on day four the mink came and attacked in broad daylight. It killed 2..I managed to save the rest.
