I was curious as to which predator the most chickens have been lost to.

I came close to losing one to a red tailed hawk right time right place saved the day but have lost 2 to dogs so I chose dogs

I'm assuming it's meant for chicken thieves, crazy neighbors that shoot chickens that get on their property, teenage kids the purposely run over chickens that get out in the road, etc....

Or are you asking why "man" and not "humans"?

I’ve lost 2 ducks to coyotes (my vote), 2 ducks to a dog, and almost lost a chicken to a hawk.

Minks in my honest opinion, mainly because I've had to deal with them before. They're awful and hard to catch

At my parents' midwest home, it's usually raccoons. Here in the rocky mountains, it's most often bobcat. Sometimes fox or hawk.
