Dogs. I have lost a lot of my interest in dogs because of my dumb neighbors.
(wow i said it!)
they had two German Shepards who killed two hens and injured two more, attacked people, cows and livestock, escaped twice, and got rid of them only when we called the sheriff and the whole neighborhood was out with guns. i really hope they don't get new dogs because the are obviously terrible dog owners. if any of y'all are bored enough to listen to my story, i'll tell it. let me know
Everyone in my (rather small) neighborhood has dogs, including us, and most of them are out all the time. I have my chickens in a run though, but I know that foxes come and visit the area. My chickens get freaked out by my dog, a short, super dumb mutt that is probably the sweetest thing ever. They've even been getting stressed out (sneezing) because we have predators around here now.

I'm sorry about the dogs. I'd love to hear the story!

This past couple of years it's been raccoons. But there was a big Black Rat Snake in our barn last summer eating an egg. Our stupid contractor killed it. I told him he should've just put it back outside so it could eat rats. Never seen one in our barn before ever in the 20 & years we've had chickens.
