Official BYC Poll: What Poultry Are You Currently Raising?

Chickens and Royal Palm turkeys for me! Poults were an impulse buy, but absolutely head over heels about 'em. Total feather puppies!

I incubated some duck eggs and they were fun but alas, I knew I wasn't going to be able to keep up with their needs and decided to find the little waddlers happy wet homes they can live out their days, which in turn let me expand the dry run for the remaining flock!

Just chickens for me at the moment.

Ducks and turkeys are planned for the future after we have the chickens well-established.

Quail are a possibility.

I never said Muscovys aren't poultry??? I was saying they aren't ducks. A lot of people I know think rabbits are poultry so I would say yes all of those are poultry.
Muscovys should have their own option and not just lumped in with ducks. So they would be an "other" kind of poultry.

I didn't say you said that.....just pointing out another anomaly in the poll.

Chickens, and ducks. Current flock in my sig - I adjust as appropriate for culling and hatchings. No plans to add additional poultry (types). Goats, next.

My (5 egg) duck incubation was a complete fail. 10 chicken eggs (mixed x a mix of known breeds) in the incubator now, one week to go +/-.

Chickens only. Trying to resist geese and small turkeys, and so far it's working, because of their housing requirements. More stuff! More work! Just chickens seems best for us here.
And the horses, down to only four. Two remaining steers will be leaving late December.

If you had asked this back in March, there would have been ducks, geese, and guinea fowl as well as chickens and 4 pigs of varying ages.

Have had to downsize quite a bit and let the land rest, so we’re talking chickens and a couple of cows.
