nef, I hope they hatch! Of course, you can have some of the Silkie eggs, just let me know when. I gave some to Dale-Ann today. I have 3 pips and one hatched. These are eggs that I really did not expect to make it .... becuase, I did a stupid thing .... I had them in the bator, and then took them out and let a new broody sit on them (and moved her). Yup, you guessed it ... she got off. Well, some of them are actually hatching.

I'm in!!! I will be setting 18 eggs from my flock of mixed breeds. I am very excited for a christmas hatch! I am going to put them in the bator as soon as I am done typing this! They should hatch on christmas eve/christmas. Wish me luck!

Broodies can be weird. I was tempted once to give eggs to my Australorp X that were about to hatch. I didn't because I was afraid she would kick them out of the nest (they were EEs and although she's half EE, I thought she would notice the color difference).
