I'll may be a few days behind. Kathyinmo was so nice and generously gave me some Silkie eggs to hatch with HER hovabator. I am reading up on incubating and will start warming it up today. This will be my first time with a "plug in" bator. I have one of the feathered kind who hatched one last evening! Hopefully more today.
I got to see Kathy's birds and set up. Wow! Very nice birds!
Did I mention that Kathy is so nice?

One of my buff orpington hens went broody yesterday. So it looks like I'm in for Christmas chicks.

I hatched out 8 yesterday (5 White Faced Black Spanish and 3 Frizzles?), and 2 more (Spanish) are trying today. My eggs I expected yesterday (Spanish) are still not here. I'm hoping they arrive this afternoon!

Iowa you say? Neat! lol pick up some fertile Iowa egg's and let's start a thread for them lol.

Set 2 dozen BO's on December 2, and should have another 2 dozen to set next week! So that will make me having hatchings on December 23rd. and about the 30-31st!
