well is the contest still going, I looked at my orp hen and man does she look terrible, but nothing like the naked chicken, actually the naked bird looks pretty compared to eileen. I was coming on to check out whether her molt looked normal or maybe she was sick with mites or something. no pics yet. and its dark now.

I'm not ready to submit her worst picture yet... but she's getting there FAST! It looks like someone had a 10-man pillow fight in the run and coop.
I don't have heat in the coop (although that might change because of this) so I thought I'd get on making a coat for her... this is my first try, work in progress:

It's two layers of fleece = very warm

Hadn't I seen and read through this thread, I would also think that chickens that molt as sick ones. I am glad I read this thread
