Awesome! I'm currently soaking some chicken coop, accidentally , I heard that you can soak it to compost it instead of the traditional compost method? We don't have a compost bin.
We dont either! Ive never heard that, that sounds cool :D

yeah chicken poop and eggshells are my total go to for fertilizing and plant growth. If you ever crack a egg for breakfast or feed the egg back and are left with a shell KEEP IT, either feed it back to them for calcium or use it for plants!

Gardening can be tricky, we dont have predators, i call them nibblers.
rabbits, bunnies, squrriels, deer, chipmunks, your typical garden pets!
strawberries are SO impossible to grow, everything eats them!
We have a ton of strawberries! Way to many, you can have some of mine. ;)
Our only major garden predators are our chickens and cats, but the horses are pretty bad. Misty whipped out our whole lettuce bed last year, and our corn. :thWe're going to run electric wire around it this time.:lol:

the sage lasted for id say 3 years with NO death. no watering, litterally NOTHING. it just survived forever with no effort and still tasted and smelt amazing! (Yes, went threw winter to!) soso recommend sage.
Oooo! I want to start an herb garden. Tried last year but the snow whipped everything out. Did you bring yours inside if you got snow? I'm thinking about doing some kind of cover for my herbs this year, maybe cloches, how do you spell that?

wow! i grew a bean plant and my chickens scratched it, i see it on the floor, torn to shreds and the dirt from the pot EVERYWHERE and little emily has dirt on her fluffy feet.

gohji berries my chickens love love love. i often dry them or swallow them whole, because biting into them raw is quite bitter. they hang and grow upsidedown so wild birds often wont grab them and rabbits cant reach them! Perfect plant
I need to get some of these! I'm currently buying them for use in my Etsy shop, didn't even think about growing them. Adding to my list!

Sage? Nope. Litterally just survived like crazy. i did no effort in making that thing live For the other 2 years it just did.

the other ones though, i did, most of it didnt really last to winter, but if it did i either plucked everything off or i took it in if i could.

Wow, I never thought about horses getting into the garden, but that makes sense! My uncle (who lives up north) has trouble with turkeys flying into his garden. I thought that was so strange!

You definitely should, its a perfect plant. And im not even being dramatic ONE bit.

they grow once a day! I got 5 goji berries or so from 1 plant a day. you wouldnt see them and then the next day boom 5 bright red goji berries appeared from no where!

Cool! I think some of my sage survived over the winter, I'm excited to get my herb garden going again. I want to grow a ton of oregano for the chickens. :D
