You explained that fine... I too have respect for Betweens.. Have any of you noticed when walking thru an alley or doorway the rush of energy, and sometimes the feeling that oyu are not in this world... I know I do.. I also dont care to stand in doorways after a second the energy gets to be too much...

I actually love that feeling.
I miss living near the sea for that reason - no matter how stressed out I got going to the beach always calmed me down and helped me through. river banks do it too.

can't really walk along a doorway so I don't get the same amount of feeling from it.

Some places are just naturally between too - I find a lot of very old church sites were built in places that I get the between-feeling from which is probably why I like being in ancient graveyards.

Coop's post got me thinking. I have been doing some reading on ancient pagan societies. It seems like the ancient view toward homosexuality and bisexuality was much more positive then it is now. Many cultures expected that most men would bisexual. Julius Cesear had both male and female lovers. There is also some evidence that the Celtic warriors were openly bisexual. The mythical story between Cuchulainn and Ferdia is supposed to be about two male warrior/lovers who end up being on opposite sides if a battle.

I just thought that was interesting. Don't know if anyone else did. LOL

trying not to say this offensively as honestly sexuality is a personal thing that no-one can choose...

but thinking of humans as a herd/pack/tribal society...

if you take it right down to the basics, bisexuality and homosexuality HAS to have some benefit for the species as a whole or it wouldn't still occur. Maybe with social bonding or something, I don't know and have no way to know. Same with depression etc - depressives actually cope MUCH better in a crisis, allegedly, which is why we still have depression caused by genetic factors. Same with psychic abilities, strength etc... they all add up to help your little tribe survive and thrive in the past, even if we can't see the how or why of it now. Obviously your herd/pack/tribe needed every advantage and needed every type of person. I think it's a huge shame that nowadays we mostly live so far from our tribe

I could definitely see why it would be advantageous for a society of warriors to look positively on same sex bonding. Its funny that our media often depicts male homosexuals as being feminine but historically they were often the manly men fighting battles. LOL

During prohibition Irish Whisky would have been taboo. Aren't you lucky you weren't alive then?

I agree.. I luckily have the perfect combination of both male and female (lol, I wish).. I crack my friends up as I am a very girlie man in the home and kitchen, yet do all the manly man things that need doing.. I hunt, fish, drink beer, and yet I can make a fabulous loaf of bread or cupcakes for the kiddos... I tell myself I have the best of both worlds..Now if i can just find BF that doesnt think im bonkers ( cause of my chickies etc.. )

Now see, why can't a guy like CoopCrazy live in Mobile. My boyfriend HATES for me to have chickens. My flock was recently killed, so I am building a new coop for a new flock, and he is trying to talk me out of it. He needs to wake up and realize that's the reason he will never live with me! lol

Forgive me for sounding blunt, I was a fag hag for many many years. I think it's so great that you have chickens. None of the gay men I have ever know were ever remotely like you. I enjoy the fact that you are "between the worlds". I can try to picture my friend Dan with chickens and can just see him standing there in the muck, with his pretty boy pompadour saying, what am I doing with these?
