Very tempting... You like kids as I am raising two lil boys (8 and 4) ATM... LOL

I'm a teacher...the one that students often call dad and hang out in my classroom....not to mention uncle to 8 little ones! lol Kids are great! I might have to have one child-free room to escape to for peaceand quiet though! lol

I have one of those. Call it the Man Cave... Basically all the storage that doesn't fit into the closets goes in here. It is dark as I have the windows covered, there is a ratty busted up broken down couch from my college days, and the path between the couch and TV is percarious because of all the storage totes. Its dark, cozy and warm. Oh, and I told all the younger kids that's where I keep the bogeyman when he's not out scaring little kids

Now there's an idea! A room they are scared of! I collect Halloween decorations, so I will just keep them out in that room all year so it's too scary for kids to want to go in lol

Unless you get a kid like my youngest daughter who thinks that everything scary is cool. LOL

I have a dd like that. She likes to watch sports center, espen, glenn beck and doesn't mind running to the fridge to grab me a Heineken

She's not a lil one tho, and she's welcome to watch all sports, WWE wrestling and NCIS anytime

heh, i grew up like that with my dad. always was the 'tom boy'. learned how to fly RC planes and loved cars and motorcycles, helped to fix cars and his old Chris Craft boat. it was fun to be allowed to watch stuff like Benny Hill, Stooges and Monty Python with him! he also let me watch a lot of scary stuff like Alfred Hitchcock and The Hitch hiker. mom didn't like that stuff and never seemed to understand it but we looooved it! if it was dumb and goofy we were watching it! he was the one that taught me how to fix a lot of stuff or at least understand what to look for when it seemed broken.

eta: it is from his side of the family that i get my gardening skills from.

Doesn't every guy have a man cave? Coopcrazy, I thank you for your words of wisdom in the Christian thread. I also pray that everyone over there continues to behave themselves. Christians (not me!) have some strange ideas about following God's word sometimes, and your voice of reason was most welcome!

i think so! my dh has his computer room. i soooo badly want to organize it so it looks cleaner. but trying to get him to part with old & outdated computer stuff is tough. and i respect his area enough to ask him for permission before moving things.

my dad has 2 of them, but one is slightly taken over with my mom's yard sale junk

at least he has the other half of the garage for his tools and motorcycles. and the cabana (aka: large shed at end of pool) is his hiding place and extended workshop/tool collection area.

i guess i could also say that the finished basement is another 'cave' of his.

as a woman, i need to have a 'cave' of my own someday! need an area to work on stained glass and other craft projects and lots of storage for all my tools and supplies! one place to keep all the related stuff where the animals won't get hurt because they can be blocked from entering. don't get me wrong, i LOVE my animals but i just don't want them hurt from some of the debris my crafts can leave behind)

as for the ideas, it all depends on each person's interpretation of things they've been taught/told. if they never questioned something or never did their own research before reacting they only have themselves to blame for the lack of all knowledge on the subject. then again, ignorance is considered bliss!
