I was just curios that was one big argument I used to have with my friends , they would claimn I was a warlock because I was male and I would correct them by saying "No Im A Witch" Personnaly I feel witch emcompasses both male and female .. I for one dont use the term Warlock.. Makes me think im playing D&D

Mr Saddi will use the term Wiccan or witch, but not warlock. I rather suspect he's reluctant to be lumped in with the "played 1 too many videogmaes and thinks he has magical powers" sterotypes. Or worse a 36 year old harry potter fan boy.

Thanks!
I learned quite a bit with the events of the last few days. I have a realization I can not quite wrap my mind around... Again I am being reminded ones spiritual self IS connected to their physical self..
No escaping Mother Earth while being alive I guess..

Hey gang! Another day playing catch-up. Running crazy again, here there and everywhere.

Warlock---I've always been told by my neighborhood witch, that calling a guy a Warlock was like calling him a fish-turd! (small or large mouth, lol)

This is what I did today this first day of Spring, Ostara.

Her name is Luna. She's partially blind. I just couldn't leave her there at PetSmart.

I read somewhere that a warlock is the term for a witch that has gone against the code and is kinda kicked out of the local wiccan community...

Can't remember where I read that...

Hey Jack. Pagan is the name given to someone that doesn't follow the "norms" of religion. Usually a name given to someone who isn't Christian, Jewish or any other "mainstream" religious belief. Wicca is one form of paganism. A Witch is not bad. A Witch like other of pagan faiths do not believe in bringing harm to anyone or anything. Anything including a tree, a rock, an animal, etc......Maybe you should read through a bunch of these posts to see what paganism is.

I can tell by your post that you are a bit young in age. I think I can do you one better than telling you what it is by telling you what it isn't. Paganism is NOT about blood gutts and gore. It's NOT about monsters, demons or satan worship. It's NOT what you hear about in some music, all dark and distrutive. It's NOT about disobeying your parents and acting out at school. It's NOT about wearing dark clothes, dark make-up, and being sullen and depressed. It's NOT about distructive behavior and violence. It's NOT about hate.

It's all about love and light.

Merry Meet and Brightest of Blessings to you

Jackrooster,
What Coyote Magic said!
To me it is a very old and extremely diverse form of faith, which celebrates and has the utmost respect and love for our beautiful planet earth and all of Gods creatures we are fortunate enough to share it with. Pagans tend to be a humble and sensitive group. A Witch is really nothing more than a person that is sensitive to the details of their environment.

Please enjoy reading all 80 plus pages of this thread. It should give you a good insight into what it is about, along with many good reading selections.

Wiccans are a type of Pagans but not all Pagans are Wiccans. Sort of like Baptists or Catholics are a type of Christian but not all Christians are Baptists are Catholics.

Depending on your definition, a Pagan can be anyone who doesn't practice one of the three main monotheistic religions(worshiping one God).

There are many types of Pagans. Re constructionist Pagans use archeology discoveries to try to reconstruct older religions.

Wicca is actually a newer religion but that doesn't make it any less valid then other paths.

The poster, Coyote Magic, practices more of a Native American spirituality.

Shinto is Japanese Paganism.

So you can see there is a wide range of practices that fall under the umbrella of Paganism

Most pagans are very earth based and care about nature.
