The chicks are now 6 weeks old. They moved to the coop Sunday night, because the weather finally cooperated and minimum temps are set to stay above 60 into the foreseeable future. Yay! I put the (unplugged) brooder heater in the coop. The first night, I had to usher them into the hen house-- they were attempting to huddle in a corner of the run. Last night, when I went out to close up the coop, they had all gone inside by themselves. They were all snuggled up together in one nest box. I figure they are adjusting and keeping each other warm... because of this, I'm going to wait about a week to close off access to the boxes. (Reopen when we are ready to lay.)
