Sometimes a new layer isn't quite sure when she's going to lay. I've seen a girl squat in a box for hours only to come out into the yard for a breather and...POP, there's her egg. It was quite funny.

Its very likely that it came out and she didn't expect it. She will get used to laying in the box eventually, especially if the others are laying there. Congrats!

What a beauty!!! My EE has been giving me the fake out for 2 days now! I check all over the yard at night just to make sure she had an accident! LOL! I can't wait to see what color she will lay! Yours is SOOOOOO blue! And for the person asking about store bought eggs, I won't go back either. I gave my brother the first egg we got from our RSL and it was a double yolker! He was SO shocked at the taste and texture, like nothing else he has ever had from the store. He said he was going to drive the hour to my house JUST to get fresh eggs!!!!!
AND SoNew123, what is a "puller" egg??? What does it mean exactly? I am assuming it has to do with the genetics the hen carries that causes the blue color???????
