These are very docile chickens with gorgeous black double lacing. They are almost 3 months old and have sweet dispositions. These are pure breed straight from Greenfire, but they can be crossed with Dark Cornish Cross, Gold-laced Wyandotte, or similar breeds to enhance the beautiful lacing. Email for more information.

Outcrossing isn't easy with Barnevelders. I've done 3 different outcrosses with barnevelders to dark Cornish, Wyandotte and penciled rock. It takes several generations to get back to the Barnevelder breed standard once outcrossed. So, it's not as easy as the ad states.

Poor chickens.
Chicken Coop with four hens - $400 (Orangevale)

Brand new chicken coop and four hens that are three months old. Three dominiques and one delaware hen. I also have the feeders and some food. The chickens are great and gentle but our young boys don't know how to be gentle.

That's one of the reasons why I lock the coop - to keep the youngest child out.
