I didn't think they looked right for Cochins but I couldn't think of the other breed they reminded my of. I just had to go and open my mouth.

I agree about the orps. Technically choc is a sex-linked gene. (Choc roo x black hen = black male & female choc offspring) However, if they knew that info, then they'd be a breeder & yes likely charge more for a purebred. Perhaps they're orp mixes, have a minor defect, really need to go, or just clueless.
