Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

Cuddles will never get eaten, once a bird gets a name it is safe.
Oh, I have had 58 chickens total, including baby chicks that didn't make it, and I can still remember all of their names. I can't NOT name them!

Guess I'm a cold hearted ogre... scamper chops sound delish to me... I like the livestock, I can even name the livestock, handle it, pet it, etc. I can also process it and cook it

Yeah that's me. I hate the thought of giving one of my babies a death sentence, but I tell the roos that they get to go to freezer camp, and that it's tons of fun, and all the hens get to go to heaven, which I tell them exactly what it is - on a chicksn level, of course

I have conversations with all of my animals - even the dog.

Put me in the carnivore camp from a young age........

My parents raised a Holstein steer for meat. Apparently us kids named him Toro. Well, the mobile truck came and Toro left. A few days later, steak for dinner. 5 year old Rachel asked "Mom, is this Toro?" Not one to sugar coat things, my mom replied yes, it was. 5 year old Rachel took a big ol bite of steak and said "Well, he sure was a good old cow, wasn't he?"

One of my dad's favorite stories. I don't remember it, but it's been told enough.......

right now we're raising Chuck as our meat steer--ground Chuck, Chuck roast, etc.

Ahaha I name birds to keep things easy for records, they aren't fancy at all normally since we do eat our birds in the end normally. Of course I say that and I got a pair of birds 6 years old :gig
