This one is kinda odd. Especially the part where "they would of made great mothers."
And if they had such happy, healthy, spoiled lives why are they so skinny?

Rats and mice don't live very long; two years is average. If those are indeed 4 years old, they are ancient.
And if they had such happy, healthy, spoiled lives why are they so skinny?
That's so stupid, they probably won't live much longer anyway so like why not just keep them till they die and give them a truly good life and ending? I myself would feel worse, even terrible, if I gave them as snake food...
I agree. They should just keep them till they go :/
I've owned several rats over the years. They're prone to cancers and I'm under the impression their "suffering" and "need to be put out of their misery" is a terminal prognosis in itself. If it were me, I'd have them euthanize, at least I see it as more humane for a beloved pet.![]()
Huh, I never thought about illness.. that could be and sounds more likely. But if they are just old then that's just dumb and mean :/ but yeah I agree, I would have it euthanized (or figure out how to do it myself if I couldn't afford it) before I let a supposedly beloved pet go be snake food... :/
And also, if it DOES have cancer or something, should they really be feeding a cancer infested rat to another animal?
Natural predators eat sick and dying animals all the time. So cancer shouldn't matter. Who knows? I find the whole thing bizarre.![]()
Yeah but couldn't they get cancer? And yeah, me too haha
Cancer isn't contagious.
