Oh Craigslist, You Amuse Me So!

Also the poor fellow is filthy and horribly taken care of and he looks to have mange? Do hogs get that? I don't think those scales are normal. He should have a coat over it. He also looks overweight (I know pot bellys/pigs in general are designed to be fat/chubby/wrinkley but he looks especially so), and his teeth could probably use a check up. Poor guy :(

And he definitely doesn't look show quality lol just trying to sell him, as evidenced by them mentioning every possible use for him hahah

But maybe with good quality food he could be.

But the poor guy needs to see a vet :(

I think after he gets cleaned up he could be cute :)

I think he's ugly :p

I don't think they should have scales.

Mine don't. Then again they aren't pots either.

I think he probably has mange or something, poor guy is a mess :(

He'd be an even uglier dog LOL

And when I saw the scales thing I was expectinf worlds ugliest dog :lau

Yeah, it's really sad.

Sorry, but tinned food does have a govt mandated expiration date and it's stamped someplace on every can. That being said, most canned food is indeed quite safe long after the govt mandated expiration date. I do however believe that it loses flavor and nutritional value over time. I have used canned goods years past their expiration date with no ill effects.

ETA: in the US at anyrate... not sure about down under....

That's inaccurate and there is even govt info out there trying to work on clearing up food dating misconceptions because it results in a lot of wasted food.

He does look like he's got some patches of dermatitis of some sort, but I know nothing about pigs. Being fair-haired and fair-skinned, it could be a common thing? I know my dog (westie) is a type that is prone to dermatitis. Luckily she's got dark skin underneath, she's not prone to dermatitis like the pink-skinned ones.

Dan's look lovely, I could give those a cuddle (in theory, I know they wouldn't want one, or let me) but there's no way the for sale hog would be getting up close and personal with his hairdo and bathing status.

It'd be nice to think somebody would adopt him and look after him, but he could already have been dinner for somebody. :(

Thanks. I do cuddle with mine on occasion but cuddling a 600lb hog is not as easy as it might seem. :gig

That makes sense, I never thought of being more prone to it.

And yeah, I wouldn't get near it either lol

I hope he wasn't dinner :( but he probably was :/

But tbh idk if I'd eat a pig like that, I'd probably clean him up first aha
