McMurray did not shorten the name. The public did. They got sense enough to know that the name the public uses is the real name that wins out.

They put both names in there an the most used in the title. Anyone that understands how the internet works would do the same. You also assume that when the public uses a name that differs from what the people at shows do then the public is wrong. What the public chooses always wins in the end.
