Marran? $15. for a 3 month old cockerel which I doubt is show quality if they can't even properly spell the breed.
Rooster French Marran - $15 (spring grove)
He is 3 months old, hatched in April. He is just starting to mature, he is very pretty, and has been rised around kids. If interested please email for pictures of him.

Hahhaa.. I showed that to DH and he said 'oo let's do THAT!!'. I don't think he realizes that no one in this neighborhood (rural) would pay for 'chicken boarding'.
It is just like having a herd share for raw goat milk.
It isn't a bad idea if you live close to an urban area and market them as fresh, organic, etc.
Best part you can pick a rooster like some people do a lobster. Great way to get rid of extra roos and just let them know that roosters are a limited commodity. I am sure someone will take them up on it.

Well, except that fresh, organic eggs like you would expect from this deal go for $3/doz in this same area. So, for this to be anything like a fair deal, you should get 40 eggs a month (not counting your initial $20) out of each chicken you "adopt". Not very likely.
When you get a goat milk share, at least around here, it's not more expensive than paying retail for a comparable product.
I'll post that I have Green Eggers for sale and I get a bunch of calls asking if I have Cochins for sale or do I know someone who does. If I post Blue Swedish ducklings for sale I get calls asking if I have Black Cayuga ducklings for sale. I have a "livestock for sale" tab on my website... if you didn't see it there or in my Craigslist ad, I'm not selling it!
