Oh, fer pity's sake, DO SOMETHING!

8/9 of my first set have hatched (it is still day 21 for them until this afternoon). My second batch of nine (they were set a day apart) are due late this afternoon. No pips on any of the ones remaining in the 'bator so far. I have an ICU class most of the day today and I'm working a 12 hour shift tonight (WAH!!!), so I hope they do well! I'll get to check them this aftenoon before I head off to work.

Oh yeah, last night the fifth chick to hatch had a tiny string attached (umbilical cord, I believe) and spent a good hour dragging it's egg around by that cord, very distressed, before I finally did a quick reach in to pinch the cord off. No problem ater that and the chick is doing great! Wierd.

Glad your chick hatched.

Day 20 of the Capt'ns log: Nothing new to report on the hatching front. Just some rocking last night and didn't have much time to check on them this morning. They just a quick once over and they are all in the same spots. I am now at work and will only be able to check on them very quickly later tonight when I sneak out to let the mutts out.

Wish I had a web cam on them. But didn't have the spending money this month for one. I need to get one of those IP cameras lol.

Nope. Can't do that. You get throwed by a horse you got to get back on or you will always be throwed. Can't go through life like that.

Keep on with it until you have one successful hatch then quit if you want knowing you were successful.

Five out this morning and they have made such a MESS out of the bator that I cant tell if there are any more pipped or what?! My dogs are going nuts to see what is under the "cheaping blanket" on the table--sassy dogs! T
