I love the angry "growl" they make when you reach for them while they're obsessing with the nest.

Nugget is so puffed-up and angry-looking in those pics. Just wait until she's REALLY made up her mind to go broody.

Holly, it's like a screaming, pecking, fluffed up pancake. they get an odd look in their eye like they're not quite all there...

I had one that would peck you to shreds and one that would just scream.

I LOVE broodys!!!! They're SO different with the way they act. The meanest broody I ever had was a Barred Rock hen that I bought at the fair. The funny thing is that she is one of the sweetest chicken that I have right now. What a difference 6 months make. ( Princess )
