OH my gosh, This is bad please help!!!

It was on the top of his head and the vet thought he saw 2 puncture wounds. He asked if we had a dog. We only had one other cat. The cat was indoor only. He was found dead inside my treadmill not long after, and the other cat went psycho. By the way, the apartment was haunted. We no longer live there.

Okay here's an update...I FINALY located a vet that would see my duck! It was a long drive but definately worth it! Turns out it was a hematoma, basically a collection of blood under the skin from some kind of trauma (probably by drake). He drained the fluid and the swelling went down enough that her eyes look normal and she can see again yay! He also gave her an antibiotic and anti inflamatory injection. He said she is in great health and should recover just fine. I'm keeping her in the house with us untill she heals completely however I'm not sure how to avoid this problem in the future without getting rid of my drake (I love him so much) idk maybe I should keep them separated?

I'm soooo glad for you and your duck. Glad you found out the problem. If it was caused by the drake, maybe it was when he was breeding her & was a little too ruff? Have you noticed him to be mean at all in the past? if not, i bet he was a little too ruff with her tackling her to the ground & he could have clawed her head or made her hit it on something. Just a thought. Good luck, ~Julie~
