I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling. It would be a good idea to have more testing done. If you lose another, sending the body for necropsy may give you more information too.
As for Amprolium (Corid). Look on Ebay to see if there's anyone who ships to Canada.
You can also try local Pigeon Supply houses (do you have that?).
A couple of other sources to look into would be Amazon - you can find Coxoid and Coccivet.
If the vet can't give you any Amprolium, then see if they are willing to give you enough
Toltrazuril Baycox 5% to treat those that are sick. Also if you know anyone who raises cattle, they might be able to give you Corid (Amprolium) that they have. Corid here in the US is found in cattle sections of stores.
In the meantime, I really would give those sick birds buttermilk with white rice. If you are confident it's Coccidiosis, give NO extra vitamins that contain B1 (Thiamine).
Also wherever your housing them - try to keep bedding cleaned up and as dry as you can. Water stations (and feed bowl) free of poop as well. I'm not saying that you aren't doing this - but chickens poop everywhere and sometimes kick material into food/water - ingesting a bit of poop when they eat/drink, this will only add to the Coccidia that's in there system and that they are overloaded with. Coccidia flourish in warm damp bedding/water, etc.
Sick chickens also need warmth - aim for 75-80F.

Thank you very much for taking your time for the write up!
Problem with this medicine into Canada it is all restricted and requires the vet to bring it in. Else it will just be confiscated at the border if they open the package.
The wife was able to get Amprolium Amprol 9.6% at the vet today. 2.5mL/per L of water 7 days, after that 0.75mL/per L of water for 7 days....
I have 3 sections in my coop of chickens, combined they drink 8-10L a day=25mL of Amprolium Amprol 9.6%.
The vet only gave us 30mL....?! That is for today/tomorrow, the vial is already done. 21$ for that vial, insane.
I googled that medicine and the US sells 1 gal (4 L) for 80USD (~120$ CAD not even)
So...
120$÷4000mL=.03$/mL
versus us paying at our Vet
21$÷30mL=.7$/mL
So that is 2800$ CAD for 4L (1 Gal).
I feel ripped off! We been with this vet for years, our dogs, cats all animals.
So we will be paying close to 200$ for 240mL? Where in the US you can get 4000mL for 120$.
I'm sorry about your troubles, but am glad that you were able to get some Amprolium.
Do you happen to have any livestock vets in your area? A consult with them may be worth investigating.
Corid is Amprolium. No worries you guys are making things better and are an enormous help!
Yes atleast they are getting the stuff they need now. Does amprol work against 9 or 10 strains of coccidiosis as well, just like corid?
The vet (clinic) we are dealing with they do everything, from 400 cattle, to cats, dogs, horses the whole works.
Just usually people in our hillbilly region do not worry about chickens as much as I do, so they don't get many chickens in, hence why they are not very familiar with them (yet) haha, getting there it seems!
