UPDATE FOR THIS MORNING 5-28

YAYY IT HATCHED! And it is LAVENDER! WEEEEeeeee

I picked it up this morning to check it out. There were no pips that I could see...but then I turned it over and there was the pip, a 1/4 inch above my crack!! LOL I helped peel away the egg part that I nail polished shut and now he is back in the bator almost out.


I can't believe it. Thanks for all your well wishes/prayers on this little fellow!! I am SOO super happy I didn't kill him!!!!

Also another lav. has hatched and 2 split lavs. One is still waiting to pip.

I know, I am too.

I noticed that the membrane did break a little because when I peeled back a little shell that was sealed by the nail polish you could tell. But it must be a tough little chickie because he made it.

I will post some pics when I transfer them to the brooder. Probably this afternoon -
